Vistec is a gas detection company based in Blackrock, Co. Dublin, working with sites nationwide. Since 1983 we have supplied, installed, commissioned, calibrated and maintained gas detection systems for over 1,000 customers, from boiler rooms and school labs to hospitals, pharmaceutical plants and government sites.
We cover flammable, toxic and explosive gases, oxygen depletion and enrichment, asphyxiants and refrigerants. Our fixed gas detectors come from manufacturers including GDS Technologies, Medem, Coster, Flamefast and Duomo, and our portable range includes Crowcon and Honeywell BW monitors. Every system is commissioned on site, and at handover we train your staff on how it works and how to reset it after an alarm.
Once a system is in, we keep it working. Our engineers carry out gas detector calibration with certified test gases, provide compliance certificates, and service equipment from many manufacturers, not only the brands we sell. In October 2026 Vistec became part of Xenon Building Technology, an Irish fire, security and building technology provider. We still trade as Vistec, with the same team, and we can now offer gas detection alongside fire detection, intruder alarms, CCTV and access control.
